Hey there!
I’m Victoria Lahti, a photographer based in the PNW.
Well… sort of…
I was a photographer before - then I wasn’t for 15 years - and now I’m back!
I’m currently in the process of rebuilding my portfolio to suit who I am today as a photographer.
-
I earned my degree in Commercial Photography back in 2009, and worked as a photographer in the Seattle area. Then I moved to NYC, where I transitioned into working solely in post-production as a photo retoucher.
-
The person who gets to play with Photoshop all day! It mostly involves removing blemishes and dirt, and smoothing skin tones and garment wrinkles.
I promise, your images are in safe hands when I’m editing them. I’ll never do anything to photos of you I wouldn’t do to photos of myself!
In my retouching career, I worked with notable brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Helmut Lang, A&E, The History Channel, Lifetime, and innumerable small brands and independent photographers.
-
I’ve felt the pull of the shutter button for far too long, and I can’t resist anymore. The last 15 years of retouching have honed my eye, sharpened my editing skills, and deepened my knowledge of photographic techniques. Now, it’s time to put those skills to use behind the lens again!
-
It was! I was published in Seattle Times, City Arts, Seattle Magazine, and The Stranger multiple times.
-
I worked largely with local theatre groups, creating promotional materials for upcoming shows.
I also used my photojournalistic skills photographing businesses and notable people for Seattle Magazine and City Arts.
-
Portraiture of all kinds!
Promo shots, conceptual portraits, editorial and environmental portraits, headshots for businesses and individuals!
-
Blending my love of portraiture and photojournalism, I’m also working with entrepreneurs and small businesses to create a photographic package they can use to tell their story across multiple media streams.
This includes “official” portraits using studio lighting, along with documentary-style images of them working at their studio/store/restaurant/farm/etc, and product photography as needed.
-
I’m open to any and all ideas, and would love to find a way to work with you! Shoot me an email at victoria@victorialahti.com, or fill out the form on the Contact page, and let’s find a way to bring your vision to life!
-
Honestly? Yeah, probably!
There are many gaps I’d like to fill in my new portfolio, and I’m always open to a mutually beneficial project.
Send me an email, and we’ll see if your idea fills one of those gaps! victoria@victorialahti.com

I grew up here in WA, and have lived in NYC, Portland, LA, and Montana at various points.
I fell in love with roller derby a few years ago, despite not knowing how to skate at the start!
I love cooking and experimenting with new-to-me ingredients and techniques. (My fridge may or may not currently be filled with 20 jars of pickled veggies…)
Harry and the Hendersons is one of my all-time favorite movies.
I’m a sucker for any and all animals, and will talk to them like they’re sweet little angel babies.
My photographic influences are: Autumn DeWilde, Dan Winters, Yousuf Karsh, Dorothea Lange, Peggy Sirota, and Diane Arbus.
When we shoot, there will be music, I will inevitably call you “dude,” and we might laugh just a little too hard.
